Terms of Use
Effective: 9 October 2026 · Last updated: 9 October 2026
These terms govern the relationship between you and the developers while you use the Oxtv app (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Mac, Android, Android TV, Samsung TV and LG TV versions). Installing and using the app means you accept them.
1. What Oxtv is and is not
- Oxtv is a player. It does not provide, sell, host or recommend channels, movies, series or any other content.
- Content comes from the Xtream Codes account or M3U URL you add. Your relationship with whoever provides that account or URL is outside Oxtv; payment, subscription, outage and content questions go to your provider.
- The app matches the movies and series in your playlist against public data sources such as TMDB and shows metadata. That metadata is not a statement about the source or legality of the content.
2. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the legality of the playlist you add and its content in the country you are in. Oxtv does not and cannot inspect the content of your playlist.
- Protecting your account and playlist passwords is your job. Every device you link to your account by QR can read and change your playlists and their passwords; link only your own devices and remove unused ones from your phone.
- Reverse engineering the app, distributing it under another name, or sending bulk requests to third-party services (TMDB, skipdb.tv, OpenSubtitles) with the app's keys is prohibited.
- The parental PIN and the kids profile are aids; what children watch remains the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
3. Account
- An account is optional; the app works in guest mode.
- An account is created through Google Firebase Authentication with your Apple or Google identity. TVs and Android devices link to the account by QR pairing.
- You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Deletion cannot be undone and covers all your cloud data; details are in the Privacy Policy.
- We may terminate access for an account that seriously breaks these rules (for example by abusing third-party services).
4. Intellectual property
Oxtv's code, design, logo and name belong to its developers. The player uses open-source components such as KSPlayer and FFmpeg; their licences are listed inside the app and in the source code. Metadata comes from TMDB; Oxtv uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. We claim no rights over the content in your playlist.
5. Price
6. Third-party services
While running, the app sends requests to: your provider, TMDB, skipdb.tv, OpenSubtitles, Google Firebase when you use an account, and YouTube for trailers. Each has its own terms and privacy policy; Oxtv is not responsible for their outages, data accuracy or policy changes. Which data goes where and why is tabulated in section 5 of the Privacy Policy.
7. Disclaimer of warranty
Oxtv is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that streams will play, that your playlist will appear complete, that metadata will match correctly or that the app will run without interruption. Stream quality and continuity depend on your provider, your device and your connection.
8. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developers are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use Oxtv. All legal responsibility arising from the content in your playlist lies with you and your provider. While the app is free the total liability is zero; if a fee is introduced it is limited to what you paid in the last 12 months.
9. Changes and termination
- When these terms change the effective date is updated; material changes are announced inside the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.
- You can leave at any time by deleting the app and closing your account.
- If we have to end development or the service, we announce it inside the app a reasonable time in advance; account deletion stays available throughout the notice period.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Turkey. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the country you live in are unaffected. In case of a dispute we ask you to write to us first; most problems are solved with one email.
11. Languages and contact
These terms are published in Turkish and English; in case of conflict the Turkish text prevails. For any question: oxtv@obalabs.app
